Concepts brings ancient Egyptian culture Nike Kyrie 5 "Orion's Belt"
The first Egyptian-themed sneaker debut last year, the Kyrie 5 “Ikhet.” “Orion’s Belt” gains inspiration from old theories about how constellations line up with the Pyramids of Giza. The lace shroud represent all three Giza structures, while the tongue shows Orion’s Belt directly above the pyramids.
Old stories tell a tale of the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx and how they were both submerged at one point in time. So the shoe’s mix of blue is a nod to this tale, with lighter shades up top and darker toward the bottom. The look is then completed by exclusive packaging.
The Concepts x Nike Kyrie 5 “Orion’s Belt” will release on October 26 at Concepts NYC and CNCPTS.com at 11 a.m. EST. Retail is $140 USD, each pair come with exclusive packaging. Don’t forget to scroll through the photo gallery above.

Concepts x Nike KYRIE 5 "Orion’s Belt” is the second installment of Egyptian-themed collaborations, inspired by Irving's deep fascination with ancient Egyptian culture. The “Orion’s Belt” design, refers to the theory that the constellation aligns perfectly with all three Pyramids of Giza, which along with The Great Sphinx, were believed to be submerged in water.
