Titans' Logan Ryan Wants NFL to Punish Browns Fan Who Threw Beer on Him
The Browns had alot of hype going into the season opener, and rightfully so with several strong offensive players added to the roster. Not to mention having one of the most talented wide reeivers in football, Odell Beckham Jr.
Nevertheless the Titans defense crushed the hype and held the the Browns to 13 points. Baker Mayfield threw three interceptions and one was caught by Malcolm Butler who ran 38-yards for a pick-six. Butler and some teammates celebrated by climbing the wall behind the end zone, and that;s when an angry, distraught man tossed some beer on the players.
Ryan went on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday morning and was asked about the beer situation, this is what Ryan had to say.
“Yeah, you know, in this day and age it’s ridiculous,” Ryan said. “I understand that we play football. I understand that we’re modern day gladiators. I understand that fans feel like they can yell and say and degrade, whatever, but you know, we’re human beings. And I think in society nowadays that’s, with everything going on and everybody deserving their rights, I think as a player to hop up over the rail and to have beer splashed in your face and you’re not allowed to respond. … Fans are allowed to throw beer in our face and yell whatever they want to yell at us and there’s no penalty?”
