A third-round pick out of Georgia, Hines played 15 seasons for Pittsburg and won 2 Super Bowl titles. He’s Pittsburgh’s all-time leader in receptions (1,000), receiving yards (12,083) and touchdown catches (85).
But Ward is much more then just a football player, he’s accomplishments off the field speaks for itself. Hines appeared on Dancing With The Stars and won, he did a cameo on The Walking Dead, and became a studio analyst for NBC. Hold on, Im not done yet. Ward also worked for CNN and became Player Relations Executive for the Alliance of American Football, although that was short lived.

And now Ward can add Offensive Assistant for the New York Jet’s to his reume. ESPN is reporting that the New York Jets have hired him to be a full-time offensive assistant.
After being hired, Ward joined four Bill Walsh coaching interns, and is currently working with the team’s receivers coach.
“I think that’s a great addition for us,” said head coach Adam Gase. “He’s done a lot of really good things with that group, helping out with those guys. It’s the right time for him. He’s excited about the opportunity.”
Jets receiver Robby Anderson had this to say about working with Hines Ward.
“He’s a great resource because he’s done it at a high level consistently,” Anderson said. “He’s a future Hall of Famer, so what more can I ask for? I’m picking his brain, and he’s more so telling me than I’m asking him, and I’m just staying on top of him. He’s just trying to find ways to get me better in each way.”
