Nipsey Hussle’s Puma collaboration about to drop

Nipsey Hussle’s TMC brand The Marathon Continues and Puma have announced that they will release a co-branded apparel collection on September 5th, 2019. Ermias Asghedom AKA Nipsey Hussle was well known for his generosity and willingness to give back to the community, so 100% of the  proceeds from the collection will go to Nipsey’s Neighborhood Nip Foundation to help local youth and communities.

Nipsey was chosen as one of PUMA’s brand ambassadors and was the main focus of several ad campaigns for the label. He put out a video of him signing a contract with PUMA just days before his tragic death.

Last year Nipsey did a collab with Jordan with the Air Jordan 3 “Victory Lap” PE in honor of his most recent album.

The Reebok Cassic “Rich Rollin” was also dropped last year and Nipsey quickly took to twitter calling it an “unauthorized” release, because the shoe was inspired by him. Nipsey’s name is not actually used on the shoe, but there are other details that give the appearance of a connection.

Like the “Rich” and “Rollin” found on the heel tabs that could be referenced to a track that Nipsey did titled “Rich Roll.” Right below that you can see “Crenshaw” and “Slauson” graphics debossed on the heel, is the name of Nipsey’s hometown neighborhood. And last the shoe is blue, and if you know anything about Nipsey Hussle,  he was affiliated with the Crips.

His team has teased that the collection could have a “khaki suit and tracksuit”, and there is  likely to be special footwear. No items have been revealed yet but his team said that Nipsey’s “signature style and DNA can be found in each garment that’s part of this collection.”
