odell beckham Won't stop wearing the watch
Odell Beckham made his debut with the Browns on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, wearing a Richard Mille watch, which is a six figure watch.
A Richard Mille RM 11-03 McLaren Flyback Chronograph is the model Beckham is wearing, it has been priced at $189,500 according to several different sources. Beckham’s watch is similar to the picture below.
Beckham plans to keep wearing the designer watch even though the NFL warned the Browns that it violated league rules. Odell feels like his being singled out for actions that other players get away with.
“That’s just my life,” said Beckham. “If it ain’t this, it’s something else. If it wasn’t the watch, it would have been the way I tied my shoes.”“But people have knee braces on that are hard and made out of metal,” “We don’t see them taping it up. No jewelry — everyone else had jewelry on. So I’m good.”
Beckham is talking about Rule 5, Section 4, Article 4 of the 2019 NFL Rulebook that states that “uncovered hard objects” are prohibited. Beckham is saying his watch is plastic.
Beckham has been wearing the watch in practice also and no injurys have come out of it, another plus for Odell’s argument with the NFL.
Odell said the league has not formally addressed him and untill that happens he will continue to wear the watch. Beckham also told reporters that if the watch was less valuable or worn by a different player then this wouldn’t be an issue.
