PUMA's Japanese Motorsports sneaker

PUMA new sneaker embraces  Japan’s racing heritage for its latest CELL Endura, tagged the “Mugen,” which came from 46 year old high-performance tuner Mugen Motorsports.

The new CELL Endura “Mugen” mimics a race car with graphics placed throughout, with Kanji graphics and Endura branding on its toe box, and PUMA’s classic logo and CELL stiching.

The upper is made of leather, suede, mesh, and quilting, which is meant for the custom seats placed in race cars and race bikes. Japanese wrting can be seen from toe to heel, and the midsole fades to black with a motion blur finish, a nod to the fast-paced nature of racing. The interior of a racing car is referenced with brown leather on the heel, and last but not least, a visible cushioning unit in the midsole.

The PUMA CELL Endura “Mugen” is available at atmos Tokyo for ¥ 18,700 JPY or $174 USD, and don’t forget to scroll through the photo gallery above.
