Tinker Hatfield Creates Nike's CruzrOne for aging athletes
Nike co-founder Phil Knight and Nike designer Tinker Hatfield had a conversation about running that lead to the making of the new running shoe, the CruzrOne. I heard about your eight-miles-a-day walking habit, Tinker said. “I don’t walk, I run! Just really, really slowly,” Knight replied.
And that convo pushed Hatfield to design a new model that works for aging athletes.
The CruzrOne will have three colorways, navy, grey and black, and contains a React-cushioned midsole with a rounded heel for easier transitions from heel-to-toe when running at lower speeds. One highlight feature added by Tinker was a stretch upper lined with shearling for support and comfort, and gives it that winter vibe.
